What's a weeping chimp?
You and me.

A chimp
stands on the threshold of an open doorway.
It is the threshold of understanding.
Looking through the doorway the chimp sees
the numberless things of life going by.
The chimp stares in amazament with a dim recognition
that here is a world he will never fully know.
Finally understanding and accepting his limited state
he begins to weep.
A single tear falls.

Poor chimp.
